Frequently asked questions
How much does tree removal cost?
Every tree is different. Pricing depends on size, location, access, and risk. We provide free estimates and clear pricing before any work begins. No surprises.
Do I Need a Permit?
In most cases: NO. Most residential tree removals do not require a permit. If your property has special restrictions or local requirements, we’ll help determine what’s needed before work begins.
Are You Licensed and Insured?
Yes. Timber Gator inc. is fully licensed and insured for professional tree services, giving you peace of mind throughout the project.
How Long Does Removal Take?
Most residential tree removals can be completed in a single day. Larger, commercial, or more complex projects may require additional time.
Do You Haul Away Debris?
Yes. We clean up and remove branches, logs, and debris unless you request otherwise. Our goal is to leave your property safe and cleaner than when we arrived.
How much does tree trimming cost?
Many tree removals start at around $300. Larger or more complex trees may cost more, but we’ll always inspect the job first and provide a clear, fixed estimate with no surprises.
When Is the Best Time to Trim Trees in Florida?
It depends on the tree. Many trees can be safely trimmed year-round, but others have specific pruning windows. For example, crape myrtles are best pruned in late winter, while improper pruning (“crape murder”) can permanently damage their shape and health. If you’re unsure, give us a call. We’ll identify your tree and recommend the safest time to trim it for long-term health and appearance.
Will Tree Removal Damage My Lawn?
We take every precaution to protect your property using professional equipment and careful planning. While heavy equipment may leave minor impressions in soft ground, we always work to minimize impact and leave your property clean.
What Happens to the Wood and Debris?
Complete cleanup is included with our service. We remove branches, logs, and debris unless you would like to keep some of the wood for firewood or other uses.
Do You Grind the Stump Below Ground Level?
Yes. Our stump grinding service removes the stump below ground level so the area can be covered with soil, grass, or landscaping.
Do I Need to Be Home During the Service?
Not always. As long as we have access to the work area and have discussed the project beforehand, many jobs can be completed while you’re away.
What Payment Methods Do You Accept?
We accept cash, personal or certified checks, cashier’s check and all major credit cards.
Do You Require a Deposit?
A 50% non-refundable deposit is required to schedule and reserve your project. The remaining balance is due upon completion, after you’ve had the opportunity to review the finished work.
